I spent some time in Los Angeles in June 2019 and stayed at the Lexen Hotel - North Hollywood near Universal, which was an absolute gem in a quiet part of the city. It was very close to Warner Bros studio - that tour is INCREDIBLE. If you are a fan of Friends, Big Bang Theory or Gilmore Girls please go. You won't regret it. Also the beach at Santa Monica Pier is amazing. So wide with lots of fun things to do on the pier. The stunning lilac trees were in full bloom in June, but it certainly wasn't hot. Bring a sweater in the case the nights get cool.

My husband and I recently returned from a vacation in Florida - June 2018 - where we had the opportunity to see what the area offered to a couple with no kids, who weren't interested in the theme parks. The weather was HOT, which gave us the perfect opportunity to lounge in the pool in our beautiful home just outside Haines City - approximately 20 minutes from Orlando. We were super impressed with the quality of the home offered by our supplier - it was a gorgeous four-bedroom with spacious rooms and living areas, with a private pool, spa and games room. Perfect for a family getaway or multiple families in one house. We also took an unforgettable day trip to Naples Pier. If you get the chance to do that - GO! It is a stunning beach, with lots of great restaurants, and attractions. The houses and buildings in that area have a historic feel; as beach people we definitely could have spent more time there.  We also really enjoyed our day at Disney Springs in Orlando - the live music, shopping and dining opportunities were plentiful. It would be cool to stay at the one of Disney Springs hotels and get the water taxi back and forth in the evenings. It's an awesome spot to hang out. We also visited the Marriott Orlando World Center on this trip - such a stunning hotel in a wonderful location. The grounds are just beautiful. If it's within the budget, it's worth checking out, however there are tons of budget friendly options in this area as well. We had a great 10 days in Orlando. Next time we go back we'll be sure to try out the Loew's hotels at Universal. CityWalk looks like a fabulous place to kick back and relax. Looking forward to the next time.

Music City is the BEST place EVER! I just returned from a quick four-night stay in Nashville, TN, and I'm already looking forward to going back to do it right. I'm so glad I had the chance to stay at the massive and beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel - there is so much to see and do there and they have an amazing staff. You never have to worry about how to dress - you are constantly protected from the elements, even when it feels like you are outside. It was a really cool experience to feel like you are dining outdoors in the sun while it's raining above you. It would take days to see all the hotel has to offer, and if I was travelling with family, I would definitely choose to stay in that area and drive to all the nearby attractions. However, if you are looking to experience the bar and music scene on Broadway - and don't feel like driving - I would HIGHLY recommend staying downtown and really immersing yourself in the experience. There is no shortage of talent - there are people performing in every bar night after night (no cover charge) - and if country music is your scene, this is the place for you. The people in Nashville are so hospitable. I cannot wait to go back and do it all over again. PS. if you are looking for a fun night with friends, check out the Honky Tonk Party Bus or Pedal Tavern. That's an experience you won't soon forget.

When Mexico calls, you have to answer and I was lucky enough to visit that beautiful country twice this year! The first vacation was with my husband for our 10-year wedding anniversary and we stayed at the gorgeous Excellence Playa Mujeres in Isla Mujeres - about 20 minutes away from Cancun. It was hands down the best adults-only all-inclusive we've ever seen. The small, intimate resort sits on a gorgeous stretch of beach with turquoise water for as far as the eye can see. The snorkeling is lovely, there are tons of water sports and lots of activity at the main pool. There are SEVERAL amazing restaurants to choose from ranging from Italian to tapas and if you wanted to stay in, room service is a great second choice with options like beef tenderloin and ribs on the menu. The Excellence Club is WELL worth the upgrade at this resort - they treat you like royalty and with exclusive pool and beach access, you can truly just get away from it all. My second trip to Mexico was with a girlfriend at the Platinum Yucatan Princess at the end of September. It is a gorgeous, contemporary adults-only property that shares services with the beautiful family-friendly Grand Rivieria and Grand Sunset Princess resorts. The main pool is a hub of activity from 11 a..m. to 5 p.m. - you'll always find people having fun there - and the entertainment staff extends that good time well into the evening with the nightly shows and disco. If you wanted a quieter experience, I'd recommend staying in the Platinum section of the resort closer to the beach with its own quiet pool. The beach there is small, but beautiful and you never have trouble finding some shade or sun with beach chairs scattered everywhere. There are only four a la cartes restaurants and one buffet at the Platinum, but they are top notch quality - among the best I've ever had - and you can also eat at any of the MANY restaurants at the sister resorts. If  you are looking for a fun holiday, look no further. Platinum Yucatan Princess has you covered.

We spent almost two weeks touring the beautiful Rocky Mountains between Canmore and Jasper in July 2016 and it was truly one of the most amazing vacations we ever had. We stayed six nights at the gorgeous Stoneridge Mountain Resort in Canmore, which is an absolutely stunning condo complex (that includes housekeeping) with a PHENOMENAL mountain view. The one-bedroom condo came equipped with a gorgeous fireplace, full kitchen with granite countertops and wall-to-wall windows and patio doors so you could enjoy the view both inside and out. The service was top notch, the walking trails were beautiful and you were just a short day trip away from Banff, Moraine Lake,  and many other tourist attractions. We slowly made our way through the Rockies by car visiting Lake Louise, the Columbia Icefields, and Athabasca Falls  and spent our last two days exploring the sweet town of Jasper. We stayed in a gorgeous cabin at Pine Bungalows on the Athabasca River. The best part of that location - no TV or Internet - it's the perfect place to enjoy nature and truly unwind. It was our second trip to the Canadian Rockies in the last few years, but it definitely won't be our last.

I recently came back from a beautiful group holiday to the brand-new El Dorado Seaside Suites in the Mayan Riviera. It shares services with the former El Dorado Seaside Suites - now called Sensimar - so you get the benefit of two gorgeous Karisma properties at the price of one. The new hotel is absolutely stunning - 192 suites all have an oceanfront view with infinity pools - and the service is top-notch. The infinity pools are an awesome gimmick, but because they are shaded all day, the temperature is really cool. The swim-up suites on the bottom floor though are well worth the upgrade - they have direct access to the main pool and the temperature there is perfect. The beach, however, is really rocky at the new El Dorado. They are trying to reclaim the beach there, but I imagine it will take a number of years. There is a great beach option for beach lovers though. The Sensimar property has a beautiful beach with lots of great snorkeling and water sport options, and it's only a short walk/shuttle ride from one side to the other. The food and service are among the best I've seen at any resort, so if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway and you want a clear oceanview from the pool, El Dorado Seaside Suites may be the perfect place for you.

I spent an amazing week at the Majestic Elegance Punta Cana in May 2015 for my sister's wedding. They have a phenomenal wedding staff for anyone considering a destination wedding, and the location is so beautiful. The hotel grounds are so lush, the food is great and the beach is fantastic, but if you're looking for that little something extra make sure to upgrade to the adults-only Elegance Club. It's worth every penny. I personally stayed in the one-bedroom Jacuzzi suite - which I highly recommend - but I saw all of the rooms, and you can't so wrong. If you are looking for a budget-friendly, beach getaway with a happening nightlife, this resort is for you!

I just came back from my first ever trip to New York City and I can say unequivocally, it won't be my last. NYC is truly the city that never sleeps. The shows are amazing, the restaurants are plenty, and the people are so friendly. If you are interested in a more fast-paced vacation with lots to do, NYC is for you! I had the opportunity to see several hotels and would love to help you plan your New York City getaway! Here are a few of the properties I visited during my stay there: Holiday Inn New York City Times Square - this new hotel is just blocks away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square and just minutes from Madison Square Garden and Macy's. The halls are small, the elevator can be slow during peak hours, but the rooms are lovely, and what really makes this property shine is the staff. They get to know each guest, and go above and beyond to make sure your vacation is fun and memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Fairfield Inn and Suites Penn Station - this small hotel - 239 rooms - is the perfect property for someone on a budget who wants to stay close to Madison Square Garden. There are 90 double rooms and 139 king rooms - doubles have tubs and kings have showers - and there are also some suites on hand that offer a microwave, fridge and sitting area for anyone looking for the conveniences of home. There is no restaurant, but a hot breakfast is included with your stay and there's a lovely rooftop bar that is open seasonally. The fitness centre at the hotel is open 24/7 and there is a corner market in the lobby, so clients can get snacks to go. It is steps away from the Penn Station subway and Madison Square Garden. You really can't go wrong with this hotel. GrandHyatt at Grand Central Station - if you are looking for a high-end hotel for your stay in New York City, look no further than the Grand Hyatt. The hotel has 1306 rooms with lots of space for couples and families alike. There are plenty of elevators which cuts down on wait times in the lobby, and if you upgrade to a club level room you can take advantage of the beautiful outdoor lounge complete with snacks, drinks and lots of space to just kick back and relax. There is a small restaurant and bar onsite and the 24/7 grab and go market inside the hotel lobby is perfect for someone looking to satisfy their hunger after a late night in the city. All rooms have fridges and complimentary wifi, and the hotel is attached to Grand Central Station - a landmark in NYC. If you stay at the Hyatt, you won't be disappointed.  It's a stunning hotel. Doubletree Metropolitan by Hilton - Only a few blocks from Times Square, the Doubletree Metropolitan has 764 rooms - 190 doubles, 89 queens, with the rest made up of mostly king rooms. There's no room service, but the hotel does offer breakfast (for a fee) and the bar serves food from 6 p.m. to midnight. All rooms have tub/shower combos and there is a spa/barber shop on site. The staff is also delightful, and more than makes up for the slightly dated hotel rooms. Jolly Madison Tower -  Just blocks from Grand Central Station, Jolly Madison Tower is filled with antique furniture and has a hip little jazz bar perfect for the daily happy hour. There are room categories available that come with a continental breakfast and every room is equipped with a mini fridge. This is the perfect hotel for a mature couple looking for a quaint and quiet hotel in the busy city.
