In October 2015 I had the pleasure of taking a G Adventures comfort tour of Quito & the Galapagos Islands.  The tour was more than I ever expected.  On Galapagos the tour covered three islands which allowed one to explore this exotic archipelago!  The highlight for me was when we went on a hike in the highlands on the island of Floreana and there was a large land tortoise on the path.....it was exhilarating to see one so close in it's natural habitat.  The accommodations were unique, from a bungalow on the beach they were all very comfortable and provided all you needed, bearing in mind you will not find luxury resorts here.  Galapagos is all about the destination and what it has to offer, flora & fauna.  The sites are breathtaking, a place to disconnect and relax.  The islands are very safe and the locals lovely.  I would not hesitate to recommend this destination to one who loves flora & fauna and would like to experience a place on earth that is teeming with species that can be found no where else.
