I arrived at Heathrow and made the long walk through the terminal to catch the National Express Bus to Wales . There is ample signage and it's easily found . There are many buses going all over , but the sign in Terminal directs you to the correct gate . Buses are very comfortable and it was about a two hour drive . We rented a car to get around and driving proved to be confusing being on the opposite road and with all the round abouts . We survived  with no damage to car or anyone elses . I would suggest GPS and different maps needed to be downloaded to get around . Cardiff - lots of designer shopping and managed to get a tour of the Cardiff soccer stadium . Really amazing to see .  Bath - took the train to Bath for the day . Toured the Roman Baths and took in the history . A modern day spa now operates as the springs are still running .      Drove to Devon and the drive was just like the movies .  Roads were very tiny and most often could not see what was coming around the corner . We stayed at the Thurlestone Hotel situated right on the ocean . Reminded me of home .Gorgeous walking trails and they offered golfing . Rooms were pricey and a lot of people vacation there .  we then made our way by bus  back to Heathrow and transferred to Gatwick and stayed at the Bloc Hotel at Gatwick airport . Gatwick has north and south terminals which are joined by a tram . Easily accessible and the Bloc hotel is just for someone who needs to overnight . I would not book any more than one night in here . Rooms very small and the bathroom is all in one , shower toilet and sink is all together . next morning we flew Easyjet to Santorini . The flight was very comfortable for a low cost airline . Yes we paid extra for luggage pending on weight but you can do that via the web site so there are no issues at check in . we stayed at Vinsanto Villas in Santorini , they had arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport . Unfortunately  it was a new driver and he dropped us at the wrong hotel . Always verify with them before hand , lesson learned . Vinsanto Villas was situated on the side of a cliff . 61 steps down and back up I figured after 5 days it would get easier but no it got harder ..lol However it was well worth the view . It leaves you speechless . Breakfast included on your terrace every morning , simply amazing ! We stayed in the town of Imerovigli  which was a 15min walk to Fira . Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area . We went when they were having all the issues with the EURO . I have to say as a tourist you would never know . People were more than friendly , credit cards widely accepted , however, if you paid cash you got a better price . We got around by local bus which is very nice . Fullsize buses with A/C . At first I was a little hesitant , but after taking them once it was not an issue , all tourists do it . Other would rent Quads or Rental Cars . Taxis were just over priced . What can I say about the sunset , amazing every time . Every one should see it at least once in their lifetime .  Plenty of things to do here , many beaches to visit the town of Oia is not far , etc . I will be going back . the airport in Santorini is very small and they only call you through when your flight is ready for check in .Very few seats in main terminal and it gets very hot in July . Again Easy Jet were on time and very accommodating , no complaints . Upon arrival back at Gatwick we transferred to Heathrow and to the Doubletree hotel for the night . Chocolate chip cookies awaited us and a very good night sleep . off to Heathrow in the am for check in . While it can seem very confusing there are plenty of check in terminals and the staff are more than helpful as they need to keep things moving  . The AC gate is a long walk so you need to give yourself plenty of time to do security , duty free and start making your way . Truly an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back !!!               

Another great trip to Varadero , Cuba and I stayed at the Iberostar Laguna Azul . A great medium sized resort with easy walking to pool , beach and restaurants .Staff were very friendly and made you feel right at home . I found the food was always fresh and made to order . Keep in mind you are in Cuba so some days there was lettuce some days not . Try the pizza at the buffet restaurant . It is to die for . Lots of fun to be had at the Japanese Restaurant so make sure to get a show table . This is the first time I have gone to Havana and I would not hesitate to stay a couple nights here and experience the local food and people . The city reminds me of South Beach with the colours of the houses . I even saw China town . Who would have thought ? Havana is well worth the trip don't let the long drive deter you . I also did the Varadero City tour which was 1/2 day . Pleasant and lots of fun as you get to know other people on the tour . I am sure I will be back to Cuba in the future , just havce to decide which part .          

While I am not a big country fan I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time .  Inn at Opryland  - stayed for 3 nights - basic in my mind . It has a restaurant and lounge area . Rooms  are along the lines of a Holiday Inn , 2 beds and a bathroom . No big bells and whistles . What I really liked is that they have a shuttle which takes you to the Opry , City River Cruise , shopping and downtown . It's perfect as you don't have to worry about parking and who is going to drive . Grand Ole Opry  - amazing and a lot of fun . Go on Tuesday night as all the stars are in town and you may end up seeing someone more popular River Cruise - I felt this was a waste of money . Others may love it . For the money the food was warm as it was a buffet , long line ups and the entertainment was an hour at best . The skyline at night was the star of the show .  Downtown - there is lots to do , Johnny Cash museum , country music hall of fame , people watch , shop , eat , bars , pending the time you are there a hockey game  I also stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort for one night . This place is huge and like it says it is a resort .Not to be confused with an all inclusive resort as you pay for everything here . Really nice indoor atrium , many restaurants to choose from with entertainment . They also have the same shuttle service to the different attractions . I just found by the time we stopped at this resort there was so many people waiting to get on that a lot ended up standing . Memphis - we drove here and it was about a 3 hour drive . Stayed at a Residence inn for two nights and it was a great property. It's nice to have a small apartment style room with full size fridge and stove and microwave . Main attraction - Graceland - Tours are ongoing , load and go buses will transfer you to the main house where your tour begins . After you exit the house you can stay on the grounds and tour at your own speed and visit the meditation garden . The buses transfer you back to the pick up point and here you can visit the car and planes exhibitions . There are plenty of stores and restaurants on this side and easily a day spent here . They are building a brand new hotel to accommodate large conferences , weddings and reunions . still lots to do in Memphis but I never had enough time - Sun Records , Martin Luther King Memorial , Beal Street , shopping etc . I was here the last week of Sep and the weather was great . Cooler in the nights but by morning the sun was out and temps were in the low 20's . not my last trip to this area !!!                             

What can I say - WOW !!!! We took an organized FAM trip with the company . We arrived in Peru and took  a tour of the area and next day we flew over the Andes to Cuzco . While adjusting to the altitude we did a  tour of the area and met some local people ad took in a Folklore Show in the evening . Next day off again to  the Sacred Valley for 2 nights . We visited some ruins and the hotels in the area . Next day we are off to the highlight  of our trip Machu Piccu . Amazing , breathtaking views on the train and then bused to the top - Truly speechless !! Next day after taking a tour around the area we got the train back to Sacred Valley and then bused to Cuzco . Only to catch our flight the next day back to Lima to enjoy the hockey game that night at a local sports bar . Early rise  and flight home the next day .  I know this is really condensed but way too much to put in here . The food was great , all hotels had 110  voltage  except in Macu Picchu . Good buys were alpaka sweaters , silver and local handi crafts . All in all a place I want to  return to some day . A trip enjoyed by all !!!!         

A great hotel located on a Magestic Beach . The Santa Clara area is amazing for their white sand beaches and crystal clear waters . The Iberostar boasts a kids section with a new pirates ship interactive pool area . They also have an adults only area with a quiet pool . They offer 4 a la carte restaurants , all of which are great  and a buffett for breakfast lunch and dinner . I found the food great for Cuba and could always find something good to eat .The room was very spacious with mini fridge , safe and hairdryer .Over all it is a solid 4 star and I would go back again .       

Planet Hollywood is centrally located on the strip  .All rooms have a movie memorabilia theme .Washrooms have a large soaker tub and separate shower stall . Plenty of restaurants at the hotel - PF Changs , Pinks Hotdogs , Gordon Ransy's Burger and Earl of  Sandwich shop . It is attached to the Miracale Mile Shops . Parking is free and if you use the Valet service tip the guys $3 - $5 . We drove to Hoover Dam and did the tour on our own . About an hours drive out and back . We saw the show Rock of Ages which  was great and also took in a hypnotist show . Crazy but such fun . So much to see and do in Vegas .Love it and will be going back .....   

We stayed at Sandals in Varadero July /2012 . It is not up to par with the Sandals in the other Caribbean Islands as it is Cuba . We enjoyed a week of rest and relaxation . Food and staff were great and we would go back . Keep in mind that the rooms do need upgrades . The beach is magnificant cystal clear blue water and you can walk the beach  from one end to the next .Pool area was a little small and very little shade .all and all a great holiday and an adults only resort !        

Stayed at the Melia Las Dunas from June 2-9/12 . This was during low season , so the resort was only about 1/2 full it is a very large property with lots of restaurants and bars. For Cuba I was pleasantly surprised by the food . Better  then I had thought it would be . Buildings are only two stories so if at all possible book the 2nd story ocean view . They have two sections an adult and family side .We were on the adult side and that pertained to the pool as well . The beach , what can I say .The best beach I have ever been too .Crystal clear water in every shade of blue and  sand like sugar , pure heaven ! It was a great property and I would recommend to people who don't mind having to walk a little as the property is large . I will be going back .          

Stayed at the Bella Piazza for a week . The condo was very clean and spactious and free Wi-Fi . Located close to a Publix and Walmart but a bit of a drive to outlet malls and the parks .We went  to Universal and being there in the fall the line ups for rides were really short so that was great . Shopping is amazing and some great buys !
