I did a tour of Israel with Collette Vacations in May of 2011.  I thoroughly enjoyed this!  We visited Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Sea of Galilea and even floated in the Dead Sea!  It was a very eye opening tour and one that will be hard to top.

I just returned from Cayo Coco/Cayo Guillermo, Cuba and had a wonderful time.  We saw 10 resorts in total and would like to include a few comments about each of those resorts: 1.   Melia Cayo Guillermo Staff and public areas are great.  Grounds were very well groomed and maintained as well.  The meals were excellent and never had trouble finding food to enjoy.  The room was clean and well located.  You didn't have to walk too far to get anywhere as it isn't a massive resort with only 301 Rooms and 13 Junior Suites. 2.   Iberostar Daiquiri I loved this property as well.  Very clean and friendly staff.  A few negative things I observed about the rooms was that they have no iron/ironing board or coffee machine and that the safe is not included, you would have to pay locally for this although it is only 2 CUC/day.  Small and cozy so again very easy to get around.  Loved the Mexican a la carte restaurant. 3.   Sol Cayo Guillermo This resort impressed me for a 3 1/2 star property.  It offers 24 hour all inclusive with the safe included.  They have had so many recent renovations which in my opinion brought to a 4 star standard for Cuba.  They offer a romantic dinner in an illuminated palapa near the pool with a full menu for only 20 CUC per person which is such a nice idea. 4.   Gran Caribe Club Villa Cojimar This resort was better than I had always assumed, especially since the ongoing renovations.  The new cabins being built oceanfront looked beautiful.  I would still recommend upgrading to another higher rated resort though as there were still things that I could see would be problems. 5.   Oasis Playa Coco Wasn't one of my favourite resorts, not much shade on the beach and the grounds have not matured as yet.  The staff as well didn't seem to be as friendly as some other resorts we visited.  The oceanview rooms were amazing though.  The Japanese Tapanyaki restaurant was absolutely incredible though!  Other resort patrons pay to come dine there.. was delicious! 6.   Blue Bay Cayo Coco Was very impressed with this resort!  Beautiful rooms!  2 bars offer 24 hour all inclusive as well so lots of variety.  Very friendly staff.  I spoke to clients that were staying there and they were really enjoying everything about it as well.  As long as this new resort is maintained in the future and the grounds mature more, it will be a perfect place to go. 7.   Blau Colonial Cayo Coco Loved the Blau!!  Especially Cameleon Gold section, this is the section I will definitely recommend selling.. better area, better rooms and more inclusions as well.  The staff was incredible and the food was great.  The entire resort is like it's own village and has so much character and charm. 8.   Melia Cayo Coco I loved this resort as well, plus being an adults only is an added benefit for those clients looking to get away and relax.  Once the rooms are completed with renovations they will be beautiful!  Very quiet and romantic atmosphere, livelier clients will probably enjoy the sister property, Melia Cayo Guillermo more though. 9.   NH Krystal Laguna Villas and Resort Way too big!  I didn't like that the rooms had no balconies either as that is important to me.  The villas were cute, cozy and rustic and had balconies so would probably choose this category if I were to go.  The resort was very clean though, there were lots of restaurant choices, being so large as well and there seemed to be lots going on around the pool area, etc.

Tryp Cayo Coco Very active and lively resort.  Definitely great for the clients who like to be entertained.  I would encourage anyone looking at this resort to do an oceanview room with the VIP upgrade as well. I toured this resort in 2010 on my visit to Cayo Coco.  It is quite a large resort, but really didn't impress me too much.  It would be good for younger people in my opinion looking for a more active, party type atmosphere but definitely not for everybody.

In March of 2008 I travelled with my family to Orlando Florida for 11 nights.  We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites on Canada Drive off of International Drive which was very convenient.  They served a full breakfast and offered complimentary shuttles to Disney, SeaWorld and Universal Studios.  We went to all of these parks and also had a shopping day.  I really enjoyed Islands of Adventure at Universal. 

My sister and I stayed at the RIU Bambu in 2007 and had a great time.  The rooms were a little disappointing at first as they were older and musty and in need of updating.  I have since heard that they have added some new rooms to this resort which would be a great addition.  However, the staff were phenomenal and more than made up for the lack of luxury in the rooms.  The rooms were always clean though and well stocked for us.  The beach is absolutely breathtaking!  I have to admit that to me, the Bavaro Beach is the best I have visited.  The food was good and was always a good selection.  You had to stand in line daily to try to make reservations for the a la carte's which sometimes was difficult.  If you weren't there relatively early, they were booked up, we did manage to get into the Italian one night though which was pretty good.  I still recommend this resort to qualified clients who are looking to get away and are not expectant for a luxurious setting.

Grand Bahia Principe Tulum - I loved this resort!  It was active and fun.  The pool area was large with lots of seating options as well, and the beach area by the Akumal section was a beautiful stretch of beach as well.  I had a hotel room but the resort does also offer junior suites.  The resort held a "Fiesta" Night once a week for a nominal fee in the Hacienda for all of their resorts, but was well worth it.  Incredible show with fireworks completing the evening.  I particularly liked the Mexican Restaurant as well as the Gourmet Restaurant.  The staff were great as well and had a fantastic time, have recommended and sold this resort consistantly since my stay here and have had great feedback continually.

El Dorado Royale - I toured this resort in 2005 on my trip to Mexico and this was my absolute favourite!  Especially appealing to couples I feel, it was luxurious with attention to detail.  It is a large resort but well laid out.  Every room category had a jacuzzi in the main area and was decorated beautifully.  With it's large number of pools (both with activities and also quiet pool areas) there was always a place to go.  The beach is not the best, there were sand bars set up to protect the high waves they would get and to protect the beach area, but was still a fair beach.  This resort has all a la carte dining and offered many as well as many bars to choose from as well.  The lobby was large and air conditioned which was nice to come into upon arrival.
