An Interview With Marilyn Irving

How many years have you been selling travel?
I started with Air Canada February 1967 reservations and Ticket office in Saskatoon. Transferred to Edmonton Intl Airport 1972 and started with Devon Travel Service in 1977. I then purchased the agency in 1983... so 40yrs in travel industry

What are your hobbies?
Now being a grandmother... being with my daughter and husband and soon to be 2 grandchildren. Enjoy camping with friends

What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?
Lounging by pool reading and just relaxing

What are your favorite destinations?
I really enjoy Europe after being there a few times with cruises which was my main holiday for a lot of years but have started to really enjoy all inclusives especially Puerto Vallarta and Mayan Riviera

River and Ocean Cruising - 2018

In 2014 I was fortunate to be able to escort a group of 22 friends on a 14day Viking River Cruise - Amsterdam to Budapest with time in Paris and Amsterdam prior and Prague after the cruise. Previous to that I have sailed with Oceania Cruises, Crystal Cruises and many years ago with Seabourn. My husband and I have done a few all inclusives in Mayan Riviera and Ixtapa as well in October 2018 we did 1 week all inclusive in Puerto Vallarta with my daughter and family. My favorite resort has been Dreams especially since my daughter was married in 2012 at Dreams Riviera Cancun.

My holiday for that getaway has always been Las Vegas having been there many times over the past 30years..
